Elephant-headed and big-bellied, mischievous and sweet, the god Ganesh is one of the most familiar faces in the world. But why does he have the head of an elephant? .
Come along and celebrate Vinayaka Chaturthi by listening to the story and make a Navdhaniya Pillayar with multigrains.

Hold on to your yellow Hat for an exciting and adventurous Summer Workshop at Hippocampus. Go bananas making George’s favourite foods. Go on outdoor trips and encounter fun-filled adventures just like George. Explore the adventures of Curious George, with storytime, Outdoor trips and creative crafts. This workshop inspires children of all ages to ask questions and find answers through hands –on solution seeking.
Mentor:Sapna Dugar
Sapna Dugar a Mass Com graduate has been working with kids for over a decade. An early child educator, a good storyteller, dancer and a very creative personality will conduct this workshop.

TRAVEL BUG !
Get Bitten by GOGO, theTravel Bug. Let him be your travel guide. Explore different cultures and customs through folktales, activities, music, dance, costumes, food and audio visuals . GOGO will teach kids the basics of travelling and give them tips on how to help their Mom’s when they travel together.
Prance Around the World , learn the African Stomp, do the Hawaiin Hula, enjoy the Chinese fan dance . Enjoy some great movement and footwork with Andrea.

Padma Nagarajan has been working with children and edutainment, across television theatre and workshops for over ten years. Her aim is always to pass on information in a pictoral , hands-on ,fun way . For this she employs games ,stories , day to day parallels and models . She loves working with children and learning from them .
Andrea Jacob,a fitness enthusiast, a dancer, choreographer and a creative movement instructor will share her global experiences with us at Hippocampus.

Panchatantra – A Musical
Meet the musical donkeys, talkative tortoises, clever rabbits, foolish frogs, slithering snakes, lions, elephants and foxes . Catch the kids perform a musical, based on Tulika’s Panchatantra at Hippocampus this summer. A lot of animal based dances and movement , song and theatre and loads of animal masks and crafts will keep the kids busy this summer
Mentors:Sangeeta, Andrea Jacob & Shakila
Sangeeta is basically an Interior designer but also a mom,who loves doing craft with her daughter and with other kids too.
Andrea Jacob,a fitness enthusiast, a dancer, choreographer and a creative movement instructor will share her global experiences with us at Hippocampus.
Shakila Arun , Director , Programmes of Applause Theatric activities has been involved with theatre since 1991. She has performed in the capacity of actor in more than 30 plays.Shakila has directed many plays for children and is conducting workshops in corporates, educational institutions and other organizations.

Clowning Around !
Everyone loves the circus ! Clowns, Acrobats and exotic animals assure you that there will be always something fun to see and do.From circus foods to crafts, acrobatic clowns and tricks, face painting and balloon sculpting and meeting a clown, learn all kinds of cool tricks and get plenty of exercise. Juggle your way to Hippocampus this summer and have fun with circus themed activities.

A Day With….
This camp focuses on fun visits, stories and activities to introduce children in a friendly way to situations and people they meet for the first time. A visit to the Bakery, an introduction to a police officer and a trip to the fire station are some of the situations and people they will encounter in this camp.
