 Dragons play a special role in Chinese mythology and tradition and during the New Year celebrations, lively dragon parades can be seen dancing down the streets to the beat of drums and music.

Get your kids into the spirit of Chinese New Year by making their very own Dragon masks and listen to some interesting stories with Aunty Nivedita.
 Age group: 3 – 6

Chinese New Year is more than just firecrackers, ‘lucky money’ and dancing dragons – it honours Heaven, Earth and ancestors, and is a celebration of family and thanksgiving.

Ring in the year of the Horse with Hoo !!  Explore  Chinese folktales, make some fortune cookies and have a go at constructing origami horses with Lata Subramaniam.

Self-defense is essential to everyone out there! Be it in the bus, a dark alley or even your own house – danger lurks everywhere! Join us with Uncle Sreeram for an exciting session of Krav Maga – an Israeli self defense art that will help you prepare yourself in a time of danger.

 
Krav Maga means “hand to hand combat” which means there are no weapons, or dangerous items involved here. It promotes finishing a fight as quickly as possible. Excessive violence is not allowed in Krav Maga, making it a very practical self defense system.
 
Come join us for a Krav Maga 101 session with some basic activities and exercises!

Honey-coated Saturdays!

Calling all you honeypots to Hippocampus for a little “Bear Picnic”, to celebrate Stan Berenstain’s birthday! Do you know who Stan Berenstain is? He and his wife Jan published the popular series of books called The Berenstain Bears.

 So join Aunty Praba for a picnic with some lemonade and chocolate-chip cookies, while reading some bouncy, rhyming text from the series. And yes, Mama, Papa, Sister and Brother from the Berenstain Bear family will join us there for an afternoon of fun and adventure!
